Open Letter to the Squirrels in My Garden

March 30, 2010 § Leave a comment

Dear Vermits Squirrels,

I appreciate that you are enjoying the new raised vegetable bed in our backyard, but please stop digging there.  Someone (namely me) spent a lot of time constructing the aforementioned bed and carefully spacing and planting seeds.  Your digging has disrupted the orderly bed, and it appears that you have no interest in the seeds, as they have been redistributed, not consumed.  The holes and dispersal of seed would be less bothersome if it was purposeful.  Now that the seeds are finally sprouting, let them have a chance to grow.  Please stop.

Not so respectfully yours,

Sasha
